19:00 - Abbotsford House

It was quite a surprise to discover a Catholic Chapel there. Sir Walter Scot was a Presbyterian. The husband of his grandaughter Charlotte, James Hope-Scott, was Catholic.

Indeed, and Hope-Scott was a friend of Cardinal Newman. If you're ever visiting the Tyburn Benedictine sisters in London, check out the plaque at the back of their ground floor (not basement) chapel. It commemorates Hope-Scott's residence there (before it became a convent) and the fact that Newman dined there after Hope-Scott's funeral.

Well, ok. Won't be soon, though... Thank for your suggestion!
